The biennial conference of the Association for Reflective Practice in Theological Education (ARPTE, formerly known as ANZATFE) will be held at Uniting College for Leadership & Theology in Adelaide from 18-20 November 2024.

This year’s conference reflects our change of name and focuses on reflective practice across all disciplines and interests in theological education. In-person attendance is particularly encouraged, but an option for attendance and presentation via Zoom is also available

 

We invite the submission of abstracts for workshop-style presentations from whatever angle of ministry practice one might choose to emphasise, e.g., pastoral ministry, cross-cultural ministry, teaching, chaplaincy, supervisory ministry, spiritual direction, etc.

Each workshop session will be 45 minutes and should include substantial collaborative reflection. The sessions include 30 minutes of input by the presenter and at least 15 minutes will be given to considered reflection—this could arise out of a succinct summary question or questions offered to the group, with the fruitful practice of Christian ministry clearly in mind.
